Dragonfly Staff

We come from different day jobs and different walks of life, but we have one thing in common: we love theatre and want to make it a big part of our little town!

Catherine LaMoreaux

Artistic Director

Catherine is a Lansing, MI native and University of Michigan alum who moved to Manhattan in 1981 to pursue her dream of working in theatre.  She worked at Circle Repertory Company, the Joffrey Ballet, and the New York Philarmonic before moving to Metuchen in 1990.  For many years she was a jill-of-all-trades at the Forum Theatre Company.  Currently she teaches theatre in public schools.  She is eager to get back into the professional theatre world.

Anna Paone

Artistic Associate

Anna is a Metuchen native.  She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2013 with a bachelor's in film, where she acted and directed in both film and theatre productions.  After graduation, she promptly shot a low-budget webseries, "The Year of the Phoenix," using Metuchen as a backdrop.  Currently employed as an associate casting editor at Backstage, she writes screenplays and acts in her "spare time."  She loves the Mets and reality TV.

Matt Holbert

Producing Associate

Matt is a Metuchen native and graduated from Howard University in 2013 with a B.F.A. in acting.  He has many professional acting credits to his name, such as Surflight Theatre's Ragtime and the national tour of the musical Church Girls.  On the set of Anna's webseries, he both acted and was an indispensable assistant director.  In his spare time, he is involved with Metuchen's Second Baptist Church.

Tangela Hamilton

During her pursuit as a professional vocalist, Tangela Hamilton has recorded and performed as both a solo artist and a background vocalist. She kept her avant-garde style of writing on tap and recorded her first single, "Come See About Me," for which all lyrics and vocals originated from her exclusively. More recordings, such as "Sexy Ladies Cat Call The Anthem" followed as well as more performance opportunities with radio jingle contests, beauty pageants and local and regional shows. One of Tangela's defining moments as an artist was singing on the soundtrack of the Merv Griffin movie production "Rain," featuring iconic stars as Faye Dunaway, Giancarlo Esposito, Brooklyn Sudano, Erika Alexander, and Robert Loggia. Tangela embarked on her acting talents as well, with having a background role in the same movie. She has also acted in the film "Dream a Little Dream of Dee." She gained national attention from her role as Stacy Hammond in the reality show "Cheaters," where her episode with the car wash scene (Season 8 Episode 6) was selected on E!s "The Soup" as number 13 of E!s Best Reality Show Episodes of All Time. In September 2015, Tangela was awarded membership into The Recording Academy, also known as The Grammys, as well as an executive membership into The Songwriting Hall of Fame. In an effort to give to many others who are standing undiscovered because of their inaccessibility to major music markets, Tangela has also launched Ross Street Music Group, a full scale music licensing, sync and publishing firm to partner with talented artists and composers to take them to the next level with a "hand-up” approach.
