We come from different day jobs and different walks of life, but we have one thing in common: we love theatre and want to make it a big part of our little town!

Catherine LaMoreaux

Artistic Director

Catherine is a Lansing, MI native and University of Michigan alum who moved to Manhattan in 1981 to pursue her dream of working in theatre.  She worked at Circle Repertory Company, the Joffrey Ballet, and the New York Philarmonic before moving to Metuchen in 1990.  For many years she was a jill-of-all-trades at the Forum Theatre Company.  Currently she teaches theatre in public schools.  She is eager to get back into the professional theatre world.

Anna Paone

Artistic Associate

Anna is a Metuchen native.  She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2013 with a bachelor's in film, where she acted and directed in both film and theatre productions.  After graduation, she promptly shot a low-budget webseries, "The Year of the Phoenix," using Metuchen as a backdrop.  Currently employed as an associate casting editor at Backstage, she writes screenplays and acts in her "spare time."  She loves the Mets and reality TV.

Matt Holbert

Jada Davis
Stage Manager

Matt is a Metuchen native and graduated from Howard University in 2013 with a B.F.A. in acting.  He has many professional acting credits to his name, such as Surflight Theatre's Ragtime and the national tour of the musical Church Girls.  On the set of Anna's webseries, he both acted and was an indispensable assistant director.  In his spare time, he is involved with Metuchen's Second Baptist Church.

Angela Pineiro (President)

Angela Pineiro is the vice-president of Blue Parachute, a Metuchen-based design and printing company. She has five years' experience in local arts organizations and serves as the programming committee chairperson at The Unitarian Society in East Brunswick. She will be overseeing public relations and marketing campaigns, supervising printing and graphic design projects, and planning programs for the Dragonfly.

Patti Geruc Klimashousky (Secretary)

Patti Geruc Klimashousky has twenty years' experience working as a volunteer with various nonprofit, social service, and hospital organizations.  She has event planning experience and was formerly an administrative assistant for the New York Stock Exchange. She will be maintaining board records and handling community outreach.

Paul Nadler (Treasurer)

Paul Nadler is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theatre at Steinhardt School of Education at New York University.  With a Ph.D. in Theatre from City University of New York, Paul has written numerous articles on Theatre and served as a dramaturg for the East Lynne Company.

Marilyn Hansen Silver

Marilyn Silver is a Metuchen resident who is very active in the community. Marilyn is the Recording Secretary for the Friends of the Metuchen Library.  She volunteers with Meals On Wheels, and she works with Metropolitan Maltese rescue to foster rescue dogs and help find them homes.

Shauni Ramai

Shauni Ramai is an actress, singer, and dancer based in New York and New Jersey. She is a graduate from William Paterson University in New Jersey. She is a graduate of East 15 Acting School in London, England with a Masters of Fine Arts where she has performed at well-known theaters such as Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Arcola Theatre, and Tristan Bates Theatre in London. In addition to her acting, she is a trained Kathak and Bollywood dancer and teacher. Shauni also is a part of Dragonfly Multicultural Art Center's theatre company in Metuchen, NJ as an actress, assistant director, choreographer, and stage manager. Shauni has worked in Entertainment at Walt Disney World, in Florida.

 

 

Benjamin V. Marshall

​

Benjamin V. Marshall was born in Newark NJ during the last century. He earned a BA from Kean University (Double major in English and Speech and Theatre) and an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Massachusetts in Amherst. In addition to working as a journalist and musician, he has taught English in Middle Eastern countries.

 

Mr. Marshall has had several plays produced around the country and has received a number of fellowships and awards. He has published poetry, fiction, and essays in several literary magazines, including Art and Understanding, Callaloo, Jonathon, Bloom and Nimrod. The one=act Extended Play was just published in the 2021 edition of The Best New Ten-Minute Plays (Applause Books). His play Incident at Willow Creek won both the Bauer-Boucher Award and the Stanley Drama Award. A one act White Gloves recently won in the first annual L.B. Williams Festival from New Circle Theatre in NYC.

 

As a Professor at Middlesex County College in NJ, Mr. Marshall specializes in African American Literature, Creative Writing and Playwriting. He also teaches playwriting at Wagner College in Staten Island The school recently awarded him as Scholar of the Year for his creative work. Awards: Five Playwriting fellowships from NJ State Council on the Arts, Fellowships from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, VCCA, NEH, and the Robert Chesley/ Victor Bumbalo Foundation. In the spring, A reading of a new play Beasts and Cakes, The Chronicle of Phillis Wheatley is slated as part of the Metzger New Play Festival at the A.D. Players in Houston, Texas.

Jada Davis

Jada Davis is a national award-winning writer, podcaster, and theater enthusiast. Davis started her own social-media management business in 2020, specializing in Instagram management for fashion and beauty e-commerce businesses. Davis currently attends Rutgers University, pursuing her bachelor's degree in Public Relations. In 2022, Davis published her first poetic memoir, ‘2:22’, now available on Amazon Prime and Kindle. Davis has been co-hosting and managing 5WPodcast since 2019. Davis has stage-managed all of Dragonfly’s theater productions since May 2022. Davis is also an active member of Woodbridge Youth For Liberation and Equity. Davis currently resides in Iselin, New Jersey.
